Blues Dance, as its name implies, is the style of dancing to blues music (in pairs). Various styles of dance developed around this type of music, all of which are included under the denomination of Blues Dance.
During its first years Afro-American dances had an enormous influence, but later British-European elements gained ground as well.
As Blues is danced in pairs, it needs a strong connection between the partners. The current version of Blues Dance is really an evolution of Lindy Hop and Jazz, and its strength is found in the footwork.
