Rock & Roll is a musical genre with a strong rhythm that originated from other genres such as doo wop, rhythm and blues, hillbilly, blues, or country. Rock & Roll became popular in the 1950s thanks to Elvis Presley (singer), Chuck Berry (guitarist), and iconic groups like Eddie Cochran, Little Richard, and Bill Haley and The Comets, among others. Rock & Roll is a partner dance considered an evolution of the Lindy Hop. Since its birth in the 1950s in the United States, it has been closely linked to youth rebellion because it is a fast, energetic, and carefree dance. It is not only a ballroom dance but also incorporates the dynamic movements of JIVE and acrobatics.
